What is Thomas's Academy Parents?

Thomas's Academy Parents (TAPs) is the official name for our PTA for Thomas's Academy. PTA stands for Parents Teachers Association. So we'll either refer to us at the PTA or TAPs... it's kinda your choice!

We are a group of volunteer parents/carers who work together to make the school a better environment for our children to learn, play and socialise.

Our role in this school is essentially to create fun extracurricular events for our children while raising funds that could help towards projects, and to create a sense of community that we all can enjoy being a part of.  

Thomas's Academy Parents have recently recived a charity status from the Charity Commission of England and Wales. This enables us to accept charitable donations from local and national entities, as well as being eligible to apply for grants from charitable trusts and can receive donations through schemes such as Payroll Giving and Company Matched Giving.
