Thomas’s Academy Parents (PTA) is dedicated to fostering effective relationships among staff, parents, and all members of our school community. Through collaborative efforts, we strive to enhance the educational experience and well-being of every child within our care, aged 3 to 11.
Our Objectives:
Building Strong Connections: We are committed to nurturing a supportive and inclusive environment where staff, parents, and students feel valued and connected. By fostering open communication and collaboration, we aim to create a sense of belonging and shared purpose within our school community.
Enriching Educational Opportunities: We contribute to the enrichment funds for each class, ensuring that every student has access to enhanced learning experiences. From supporting school trips to funding thematic workshops and curriculum resources, we strive to broaden horizons and inspire curiosity.
Promoting Sustainability: Through initiatives such as the second-hand sale of uniforms and responsible fundraising practices, we promote sustainability and resourcefulness within our school community. By repurposing items and minimising waste, we aim to support both environmental stewardship and affordability for families.
Enhancing Facilities and Resources: We fundraise to improve the learning environment by supporting initiatives such as playground renovations, provision of sports equipment, and replacement of iPads in art classes. Our efforts aim to create safe, stimulating spaces that encourage physical activity, creativity, and exploration.
Empowering Learning Through Events: We organise school events, entertainment, and fairs to foster joy, engagement, and community spirit. From quiz nights to afterschool board game sessions, these gatherings provide opportunities for families, staff, and students to connect, celebrate, and support each other's growth.
Our Decision-Making Process:
As a committee, we carefully consider the needs and priorities of our school community. We seek input from the Head Teacher and senior leadership team to ensure that our fundraising efforts align with the educational objectives of the school. Through transparent communication and collaborative decision-making, we uphold the values and objectives outlined in our constitution.
